CHÉOS Scientist Dr. Jason Sutherland was recently appointed as a member of the Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research (MSFHR) Research Leaders Forum.

The Forum is a small collection of experienced health researchers who advise the MSFHR leadership on the challenges and changes affecting health research at the provincial, national, and international levels.

Dr. Sutherland is the Program Head for Health Services and Outcomes at CHÉOS and received an MSFHR Scholar Award in 2011. He was selected as a member of the Forum for his extensive work in health systems performance, efficiency, and effectiveness.
“The Forum will contribute to strengthening British Columbia’s health system,” said Dr. Sutherland “This is an opportunity to help shape how B.C. positions itself to lead the world in health research.”
The Research Leaders Forum is made up of well-respected researchers from the University of British Columbia, the University of Northern British Columbia, Simon Fraser University, the University of Victoria, and Fraser Health.
