Predicting high-need high-cost patients in BC using administrative and patient-reported data

Improving care for high-needs patients while managing costs is a challenging but important priority for health systems. This WiP Seminar will describe a patient-oriented research project that focuses on high-need, high-cost patients in B.C.

It will begin by describing the longitudinal cost trajectories of high-cost patients over a five-year period. It will then describe the development of models that use linked administrative and patient-reported outcome and experience measures (PROMs and PREMs) data to predict individuals at risk of high-cost use.
