Patient Perspectives in Health Care Data and Analytics
Patient-reported experience and outcome measures (PREMS and PROMS) offer key insights to value in care from the patient perspective. In this session the audience will learn about how PREMs and PROMs questionnaires used in British Columbia generate data to inform value and improvements in care. Three examples that have used these data sets for economic valuation, comparative patient-reported outcomes analysis, and identification of key drivers of patient experiences will be showcased.

Example articles:
The Use of Generic Patient-Reported Outcome Measures in Emergency Department Surveys: Discriminant Validity Evidence for the Veterans RAND 12-Item Health Survey and the EQ-5D

An economic valuation technique identified different inpatient care experience as priorities for older Canadians than a traditional approach
