The Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists – British Columbia Branch is hosting a clinical symposium on September 15.
Learning objectives
- To expose attendees to clinical topics/controversies in pharmacy practice.
- To improve knowledge of various areas of pharmacy practice.
- To keep up-to-date in the following areas: perioperative anticoagulation, opioid tapering, and heart failure without reduced ejection fraction.
As part of the event, CHÉOS Scientist Dr. Ricky Turgeon will present on ‘What Medications Actually Work for Patients with Heart Failure WITHOUT Reduced Ejection Fraction?’
In this presentation, he will discuss an approach to and the evidence behind the pharmacotherapeutic management of patients with heart failure with ejection fraction >40% (including patients with mildly-reduced and preserved ejection fraction [HFmrEF and HFpEF]).
