Dr. John Gill is a clinician scientist in the Division of Nephrology at St. Paul’s Hospital, and an active researcher whose interests include clinical outcomes in kidney transplantation, access to care, clinical trials, and health services research.
He is the supervisor for master’s and PhD candidates at the University of British Columbia School of Population and Public Health and has supervised over 19 postdoctoral students. He co-chairs the Canadian Renal Transplant Study Group with Dr. Greg Knoll. The American Society of Transplantation recently recognized Dr. Gill’s contributions to clinical research with their Clinical Investigator Award.
Dr. Gill is past president of the Canadian Society of Nephrology and the Canadian Organ Replacement Register. Furthermore, he is Deputy Editor of the American Journal of Transplantation and chairs the American Society of Transplantation Annual Fellows Education Meeting.
